Got a bit behind on my updates and didn't post since the 6th so here is a quick summary.
We were able to leave Kilkenny Creek on the 7th after about 30 hours of constant 20-25 knot wind with gusts over 40 knots. Our anchors held very well and neither boat seemed to move at all. However, with all that digging in I had a bit of a time getting the anchor up.
Had a great trip that day and made it to the South River, about 7 miles further than our initial planned stop at Redbird Creek.
What a difference a day made...anchorage was flat calm and peaceful all night and slept without worries of dragging into the marsh.
Left South River about 8 and headed for Jekyll Island.
