Ship shape and ready to go

Sea Fever and Compass Rose are about ready to go.
Today we loaded supplies for our2013 Southern cruise, and will stay on the boats tomorrow night for an early morning departure on Friday, March 1.  We expect to make it to Toogoodoo Creek Friday and on to Beaufort on Saturday, hopefully the forecast will hold true and we'll have dry weather for the beginning of our trip.
Last season we explored the northern Keys before venturing over to the Abacos, Bahamas. This year we plan to cover more of the Keys, at least to Boot Key Harbor at Marathon, and possibly further out toward Key West.
I should be updating regularly, including pictures, from now on.  So follow along on our 2013 adventure!

2013 - The Sea Fever Adventure Continues!

Sea Fever has made a few short trips since returning home to Cooper River Marina, Charleston, last June, but the last few months have been spent preparing for another Southern Adventure.  After installing a new bimini and cockpit surround (affording a warmer and drier living space), and a few other upgrades, we are now in the process of replacing the alternator, which was damaged by the saltwater spray when the raw water pump went out during the return trip last spring.

Sea Fever, and 'buddy boat', Compass Rose, are shooting for a March 1 departure- south to Florida and the Keyes.  I will post more as we approach the departure date, and plan to keep the blog updated throughout the trip.

Follow us on our continuing adventure!
